Here's me, boggling around as usual with more stuff than I know what to do with. I've decided to keep this journal seperate from my main life one, since I've just started a primary school teaching course. Would be a good idea to keep my online persona and perfessional persona seperate 9_9; just in cases.

Anyways, I have a website which I'm hopefully going to be embedding this journal into at some point. It is, unsurprisingly, called www.miss-ohmido.net. I'm always thinking of creating a deviant art account as miss-ohmido as well, just so I can keep everything together. Good organisation skills, or just me being weird and OCD, I'll let you decide!

Recently some more people (specifily people on my Uni course) have discovered I can draw. This has NOTHING to do with my ICT class in which I drew these;

Many months ago I posted a picture of a Viking, which I actually expanded on and added a lady Viking, but never posted it. So erm, here it is; ( Vikings )

I'm currently working on a MONSTER drawing for the Merlin fanfic Radient Under Every Sort of Light, which is wonderful. Please, if you know the author of the fic, don't tell them, because I want to present it when its finished :) it is, possibly, one of my best works of art to date.

OH! I almost forgot (this post totally displays my scatter brained nature), I did this drawing for my friend hils, as a birthday present. My first drawing of the Supernatural fandom, I do believe. ( Mnnn Castiel.. )

So yeah, I'm totally not dead :'D


Been away for a while, on holiday and the like. I still manage to get most of my drawing done at work (when I should be working LOL). I'm kind of back tracking to my Merlin obsession at the moment, mostly because the second series is out soon OMG. Sadly I've begun to realize that I will never finish a fan fic on my own, though I wouldn't be adverse to writing with someone else, I'm going to stick to art for now.

Anyways, enough waffle, here are some sketches I've done recently. The best one is saved for last;


This is Chell, from the game Portal. Man, I love this game. I ordered a new computer just so I could play it, because it doesn't work on my laptop. I drew this on holiday, which reminds me, I drew some other sketches I need to take pictures of... so forgetful.

As many of you will soon find out, I have the attention span of a goldfish - so, onto new fandoms I roll. Well, actually, its not a new fandom seeing as its been around for a while, but the BBC has been repeating all my favourite episodes...

Its all new and shiny for me, but I haven't really left the Merlin fandom. I'm actually working on illustrating a fic for some lovely writers, but that's all I'll say for now :3 hopefully, it will be a wonderful outcome.

Ah, this is what happens when I don't post in a while - I punish everyone with a massive art dump. It doesn't help that I do a lot of my drawing at work, and then forget to bring it home for days and days...

:D I've finally made some Merlin icons! I was going to wait until I had taken some screen caps myself (I don't really like using other peoples, it feels kind of like cheating to me), but Emma-Jane's are just too good to miss. She does lots of other fandoms as well, so her website is a fantastic resource.

Anyways, I won't bother putting these behind a cut, because I only made four. Let me know if you use them, and credit Emma-Jane for the screen caps (I don't really mind if I don't get credit for them, I would rather people linked her website!)

Evening all, I have some more sketches from work. I think I give the impression I do nothing but doodle whilst I'm at work, but that honestly isn't true XD; I usually knock these up in the half hour between my tours (when I'm not actually serving customers that is. Its hard to draw with kids and teachers leaning over your shoulder).

Anyways, all Merlin goodies this time. I've joined a community called drawmelot, which seems really awesome :3 I've already snooped through all the Merlin art on there, a lot of which is very beautiful.

I've x-posted this first drawing there, so hello if you've clicked on my name and wondered over here! I'm happy for people to friend me, I do love making new friends ♥ especially when we can bond over fandom together.

Hello all, its been a while! Work is so annoying when it swallows up all my creative time, but alas, I need to eat D: I have something a bit different to offer today, instead of drawing. Today, I have icons :3

Now, my good friend cicak has introduced myself and loreleyluna to the delights of 'Raffles, An Armature Cracksman', which is possibly the slash-iest novel that ever slashed. Its Victorian, written by E. W. Hornung, about a gentleman cricket player / thief named AJ Raffles, and his adoring fag Bunny. I kid you not people.

It gets better, because apparently the novel sparked a 70's tastic TV series, all about Raffles and Bunny stealing from their rich friends! Its classic slash entertainment at its best. To celebrate this rather wonderful discovery, I've made some icons - which anyone is free to use (with credit where credit is due), and of course, since the novel is now out of copyright, you can download that too!

Whee, more Merlin fanart. I've had two days off, which I feel like I've wasted a bit by only doing one drawing (but am totally going to make up for that by making fried ice-cream tonight :D ). This one is actually a gift, for moonythestrals, because I really love her Fratboy!Arthur fic, which is here.

It's still only in the sketch stages, and I hope to ink and even colour it if I have time. Slight warning for shirtless cuddly Merlin? ( And, wtf Arthur... )

Recently I've had lots of ideas for Merlin fic, but I doubt I will write any. A shame, but I am not a very good writer. I might post some thoughts on this later, or just some plot bunnies for other people to adopt. Who knows what artistic whim will take my fancy next.

Oh! Almost completely forgot, I finished that Merlin x Arthur headshot I was working on. X-posted it to merlinslash, even though its not very slashy. I'm mighty pleased with the way it turned out, so I've decided to continue with this slight cartoony-realistic style ^^

I have lots of sketches of random wraith characters, mostly from fanfiction that I never finished. ( More SGA )

I wasn't going to post these, and then I thought, why the hell not? A while ago, me and my brother decided to create an RP forum. It was based on something we called Stargate Lumeria, about another group of people getting lost in a totally different galaxy. It never got off the ground, though we enjoyed creating it, and all that's really left of it is the art I did. So, here it is; ( Stargate Lumeria )

I finish work slightly early today, so I thought I'd post something. I'm planning to do a massive SGA art dump this weekend, but for now, here's another Merlin face study I did at work.

Though today, we finished very early because there was too much staff and nothing to do. I spent all day as a medieval lady (I have an interesting job), which was cold to say the least, but cold, crisp air often leads to pleasant surprises...

Way hay, first post to a new journal :3 I'm enjoying the possibility that this one brings me, simply because I want to spread my art far and wide. I literally have no time to do anything massively arty, unfortunately, so mostly what I have is doodles. Which I do at work. When I technically should be working, but alas, if we have no customers, I'm not going to make jobs for myself. Ah ha ha ha ha.

At the moment, my obsession with BBC Merlin knows no bounds. Me and my housemate watched it religiously every Saturday, filling up the gap in our souls where Doctor Who used to be, and it somehow managed to work its way in as a favourite. Mostly for the crack and the slash, and Saturday afternoon is not the same without it.

I was introduced to the fandom shortly after, and I've been doodling little drawings ever since. My style for many years has been of the manga/ anime verity, but recently I've been pushing myself towards more western comic style and realism. Almost like a reawakening of what I like, which has absolutely nothing to do with the Watchmen. Nope, nothing. Alright, well, maybe... but I'll talk about that some other time.
That said, I've always loved drawing people with usual faces, as hard as that might be. And Colin Morgan of Merlin fame has a beautifully unusual face, which is a delight to draw. I've done similar for Stargate : Atlantis fandom, which I'll probably post later on in the week, but at the moment its all about Merlin Merlin Merlin X3

So, a rather cartoony doodle of Merlin and Arthur for you all. A merger offering, but I was chuffed with it.

Bloody Arthur is difficult to get right, mostly because there are less pictures of him on the internet. Well, maybe not, but when you're trying to look them up on the till at work, carefully keeping out of sight of the beady camera watching the desk, its difficult to do very in-depth searches. Not that I would do something like that, of course :p hopefully in the near future, I will have better doodles of the two of them. And if I find people like them enough, I could be persuaded to draw a short fan comic. Maybe.
